Called “Special Equipment for Artillery Measurements” Used by West German Army from the late 1950s through 1980s. FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS THIS VERY RARE GERMAN MADE TRIPOD MOUNTED FLARE GUN MOUNT. COMES IN METAL HARD CASE WITH MOUNT AND OPTICAL DEVICE. LP-2 FLARE GUN MOUNTS IN THE BRACKET BY THE GRIP AND SECURED IN PLACE WITH THE WING BOLTS THROUGH THE MOUNTING HOLES IN THE FLARE GUN GRIP. THE OPTICAL DEVICE MOUNTS TO THE BARREL, THE BRACKET IS THEN MOUNTED TO THE TRIPOD (again, tripod and flare gun not included). VERY COOL HIGHLY COLLECTABLE MOUNT. This mount is pictured and described in the book “German Flare Pistols and Signal Ammunition” by Dr. Lorenz Scheit pages 487 and 488.
Note: LP-2 flare pistol in pictures is NOT included, and only shown to illustrate the purpose and use of the device. Otherwise, you will receive everything else in the pictures. All items are in excellent condition (with exception of wear on exterior of transport box), and in working order. (Nylon cords included, were used to fire the pistol)
